Kurt Roelandt, South Africa/Belgium
Founder
- Kurt was the Head of Strategy at Aveng Ltd, the leading infrastructure company in Africa where he was also a member of the Executive Investment Committee and Growth Committee of Aveng and responsible for the Group`s entry in the renewable energy sector
- Kurt has a strong knowledge and experience in corporate restructuring and turnaround plans, risk management on corporate and project level, corporate finance, program management, operational improvement and strategy
- He worked at McKinsey & Company for a number of blue chip companies in the financial, steel and telecom industry in Europe
- Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked for five years in the infrastructure industry in Belgium
- Kurt Roelandt holds a MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Gent, a Bsc in Industrial Engineering, a postgraduate in Real Estate, a postgraduate in management, a MBA and is currently doing a level 3 CFA candidate
Nathan Pillay, South Africa

- Nathan has extensive experience in public and mining infrastructure both in South Africa and cross border having held positions of Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director.
- Strategy planning and implementation at both business and enterprise level .
- Turnaround and change agent at multiple levels of an organisation – large projects , divisions and business units involving growth, process efficiency and cost efficiency programs.
- Financial analysis and evaluations of single project deals as well as at business level (supporting strategy, capital planning and fiscal budgeting; and M&A)
- Involved in originating and or managing projects in road, rail, water, airports, manufacturing (Rm50 to >Rbn1) and concessions, etc.
- Nathan holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from University of Natal and an MBA from University of Witwatersrand (WBS)
