  • Hylton provides advice to specific clients on specific technical and commercial issues. He is also the Chairman of ICE-SA, an ICE-SCE, and The ICE International representative for South Africa.
  • He has over 37 years of post-graduate experience in in various forms of construction and design projects. This primarily is in the fields of civil engineering, road and earthworks, multidisciplinary, rail, concession, EPC and EPCM projects.
  • In more recent years Hylton carried the responsibility for the Aveng Group Risk Management portfolio, becoming the Aveng Construction Advisor in 2013, providing the necessary support and advice to key operations.
  • Hylton has been involved with a number of prestigious projects in South Africa, Africa and the Caribbean. These include the Sadiola Gold plant in Mali, Roads and associated Structures in Jamaica, a Dam in Libya, Saldanha Steel Plant in South Africa, the SASOL pipeline from Sasolburg in South Africa to Temane in Mozambique and several projects for the Lesotho Highland enabling infrastructure and the Phase 1A Tunnels, Muela Dam and Powerhouse.

Stephen Pell, South Africa

  • Stephen is a senior executive with more than 35 years of experience in the infrastructure sector in South Africa,
  • He has worked on EXCO and Board level for a number of the major infrastructure groups in RSA (Murray&Robers, Stefanutti Stocks and Aveng) throughout all the different infrastructure segments (building, civils, MEIP, engineering, concessions, …) as the executive in charge.
  • During his career, Stephen has gained extensive broad based international experience (eg. not only South Africa but also Africa/ME)
  • He has proven to successfully integrate and function in culturally diverse environments
  • He is experienced and comfortable leading and managing complex organisations including dealing with re-organisations of these businesses.
  • He has also successfully dealt with the people and culture issues related to high level transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
